Swallows FC Coach Brandon Truter has praised his players for their effort in the current season. Speaking after playing to a draw against Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday, Truter said that his players had shown that they can compete with the big boys in the DStv.

Speaking on the game, Truter said while his side started very well and opened up spaces where they could attack Sundowns, this came up to nothing.

“I am proud of the players for coming up against a star-studded Sundowns and still managed to come out with a point. They showed that they can compete with the big boys in the league,” he said.

Continued Truter, “They have been like this throughout the season and I am happy with what we have achieved so far with these player.”

“We are now  looking forward to the last two games which start with a tough assignment away to AmaZulu FC and then a home game against Baroka FC. We have been creating chances but not scoring. Now we should practice at training grounds and make sure we score the chances we create,” he added.
