Orlando Pirates have booked their spot in the MTN8 final after they claimed a thumping 3-0 win over Mamelodi Sundowns at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Saturday afternoon.

This semi-final tie was delicately balanced following a 0-0 draw in Soweto in the first leg earlier this month, but it swung dramatically in the Buccaneers favour early on in the second leg when Kermit Erasmus scored an away goal against his former team.

Pirates’ opponents will be decided this afternoon when Kaizer Chiefs face off against AmaZulu in the second semi-final match of the tournament. Chiefs have travelled to the Moses Mabhida Stadium, where the winner will be decided.

The final is scheduled to be played at the very same stadium in November.
