Orlando Pirates have confirmed the departure of Terrence Dzvukamanja, to Tshwane side, SuperSport United.

In a statement released by the club on Monday, the club said Dzvukamanja approached the Club pleading to be released to play in Zimbabwe to be close to home to address pressing family matters.

In the statement, Pirates further said that the Club offered to pay his salary whilst sorting out his personal issues at home.

“As part of the Club’s commitment to players’ welfare, Orlando Pirates makes an effort to, where possible, meet the players’ requests in circumstances that help amongst other things, their mental wellbeing,” continued the statement.

The club further added that they were surprised by an approach from SuperSport United for the player’s services.

The statement further added that they had included the 29-year-old player in their CAF Champions League squad.

Pirates has since released Dzvukamanja to SuperSport United.
