The South African Football Association, SAFA, has confirmed that national football squad, Bafana Bafana, will be flying out to Europe tonight, although they will be traveling without the much celebrated star, Percy Tau. Coach Hugo Broos confirmed on Monday during the team’s training session in Johannesburg, that the Al Ahly forward picked up an injury and was forced to withdraw.
Broos has decided to call up Royal AM striker Victor Letsoalo for the upcoming friendlies against some real top opposition.
Bafana Bafana face Guinea on March 25 in Belgium and then tackle France four days later, with Broos saying he is determined to see how his charges fare against the world champions.
The Bafana Bafana coach said the friendly matches will be tough but he was not looking for easy games.
“I said it already, for me these are important games, difficult games, but I asked for difficult games. In the past I am told that it was not usual for South Africa to play tough friendly games, ” Broos said on the SAFA website.
