Orlando Pirates defender Nkosinathi Sibisi has played in almost every game since joining the club from Golden Arrows at the start of the season. He has partnered with different players in the central defence and only him has never been rotated.

On Tuesday, Sibisi joined some players and Orlando Pirates personnel in Melrose Arch, Johannesburg, for the unveiling of Pirates partnership with Marriot Bonvoy, as accommodation partners and asked on what he thinks has been secret to keep that number five position his own the KZN born defender said it was all about hard work.

“It doesn’t mean the other players don’t work hard. They also work hard but I think I put in that extra work to make sure that I am on top of my game all the time. However there is also a great understanding between us as defenders and the team as a whole,” he said.

In conclusion Sibisi added that his transition from Arrows to Pirates has been a smooth one that even himself didn’t think it will be like this.

” To be honest it has been a smooth transition. I didn’t think it will be like this myself. And what has made it easy is the understanding amongst the players. It has really helped me and even the other players settle in very easily,” Sibisi observed.
