When joining Kaizer Chiefs, striker Ranga Chivaviro, just like the Amakhosi faithful, had many hopes of scoring many goals for the club, but this was not to be due to injury.
Chivaviro joined Chiefs from Marumo Gallants, where he was the top goal scorer and top of his game, however due to injury he joined his team mates much later in the season.
Speaking to Footballive during the team’s last media open day for the season on Thursday in Naturena, Chivaviro said he was pleased that he was rediscovering his form and finding the back of the net again.
Amakhosi host Polokwane City in their last home game of the season on Saturday at the FNB Stadium, kick off is at 3pm.
“I am not happy with what I have achieved at the team so far. I think if I was not injured at the start of the season, I could have done much better. You know I was out injured when the season started, and I didn’t have preseason with the team, so I picked up late because I started late.
“I have started scoring and I have four goals. You never know I can end up with six or seven with two games remaining, though I didn’t start well I am happy now that I have found my form again,” Chivaviro observed.
Chivaviro featured in 18 games scoring four goals. Chiefs will travel to Cape Town to face off against Cape Town Spurs on May 25 for their final match of the season.
