South African national men’s football side, Bafana Bafana, have brought back much needed faith in them following their convincing win over Morocco on Tuesday night.

Bafana Bafana beat Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) favourites Morocco 2-0 to advance to the quarterfinals of the event at Stade Laurent Pokou on Tuesday night.  Bafana advanced to the round 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations after a 0-0 draw with Tunisia last week.

It was a match that was viewed by the whole world, and the South African senior men’s team held their composure to put up a solid display that knocked out tournament favourites Morocco.

South Africa senior national star Evidence Makgopa and Teboho Mokoena scored in the second half to hand Bafana Bafana a win and a place in the quarterfinal where they will face Cape Verde on Saturday.
