Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates will meet this weekend for the second time in the current Betway Premiership League season and the rivalry can be felt far and wide; football banter has flooded social media sites as everyone eagerly awaits the victor.
All Betway Premiership clubs will be in action this weekend, with AmaZulu and Polokwane City kicking off the games on Friday evening; the FNB Stadium will however take centre stage as it hosts Amakhosi and the Buccaneers at 15:00pm.
The two rivals are scheduled to meet again next weekend for the Nedbank Cul Final at the Moses Mabhida Stadium, tomorrow’s match however will see Amakhosi fight to make the top 8, while the Buccaneers will be looking at cementing their second spot in the League Log.

Both sides will be looking at registering maximum points after suffering losses in their last league matches, Amakhosi lost 1-2 to Marumo Gallants last Saturday, while Pirates suffered a 1-0 defeat to Sekhukhune United on Wednesday evening.
Meanwhile, Coaches Jose Riveiro of Orlando Pirates and Nasreddine Nabi of Kaizer Chiefs, answered questions from members of the media during a press conference hosted by Betway in Melrose, Johannesburg on Thursday, in preview of the anticipated thriller.
The Amakhosi mentor is hopeful that his side may be able to produce a favourable result, regardless of their recent unstable spell.
Speaking to the media, Nabi said, “If Kaizer Chiefs win the Soweto derby, it’s not going to be a surprise and the same can be said about Orlando Pirates. These are the two biggest clubs in SA.

“Despite our current log standing, we believe that two big clubs are going to play on Saturday. We feel that a deserving team will win.”
Stadium Management meanwhile shared entertainment set up for fans who will arrive at the stadium early. Tickets for this match are sold out.
