Aspiring young local footballers will get an opportunity to show international scouts their skills with the hopes of being signed up and moving abroad this coming December. This after a well-known sports agency collaborated with international scouts to host a tournament in Johannesburg.

Rojo Sports Agency in collaboration with scouts from different European countries have organised a youth tournament to be hosted from the 9th to the 15th of December in Johannesburg.

According to Rojo Sports Agency CEO Jorge Abong the tournament will be for the Under 19s and it’s open to any interested club that wants its players have a chance of being scouted.


Speakign to footballive, Abong said that the tournament will be played at West Ridge High School Sports ground in Rooderpoort.

“Seeing the love, the skill and talent we are having in South Africa, we thought it’s important to organise such tournament to give a platform to our youth to showcase their talents. With our partners and the reliable network we’ve built throughout these years, we have decided to bring Europe to South Africa. This is the best way to be seen and scouts to have a chance to see the talent we have in South Africa, ” Abong said.

He added that they will have scouts from countries like Switzerland, Sweden, Scotland and Russia.
