Kaizer Chiefs defender, Inácio Miguel’s passion and commitment for his club has found him on the receiving side of many a yellow card in recent games, and while this is worrying for his coach and entire team, he said the bookings come from passion burning inside him on the field.
Speaking on Monday during the Kaizer Chiefs media open day ahead of their Wednesday Betway Premiership League clash against Cape Town City FC, Miquel said the frequency of his bookings warranted for a sit-down with coach Nasereddine Nabi.

He said he and the coach discussed the passion and commitment that he shows on the field of play, and while he made the coach understand, Miquel said that it would be difficult to play less as he wanted to help the team.
“I had a meeting with coach Nabi, and he told me to understand the timing and the way to do things, but I told him there is no problem to take a yellow card or a red card if it is for the team. I am happy that our team doing better than before so that means I’m not so exposed,” said Miguel.
Kick off on Wednesday is at 19:30pm.
