Cape Town City have announced the appointment of Muhsin Ertugral as Technical Director of the club, this comes after the departure of head coach Eric Tinkler.
In a statement released by the club on December 31st, both the club and Tinkler had mutually agreed to part ways. The club expressed gratitude towards Tinkler for the last three seasons where he presided over 2nd, 4th and 5th place finishes.
The club released a short statement, confirming Ertugral as the new head coach until the end of the current season.
In the statement, the club said, “Muhsin brings a wealth of local and international football experience to the club’s future project, having most recently served as the Technical Advisor of the Turkish national team for the past 4 years.”
Ertugral will be assisted by coaches Diogo Peral and Lebogang Manyama.
