Kaizer Chiefs will square up against Tanzania’s most successful football team, Young Africans Sports Club, in what is perfectly poised to be a unique celebration of African football flair.
The two clubs will be participating in a newly launched cup competition, the Toyota Cup. Globally acclaimed leader in automotive innovation, Toyota South Africa Motors (TSAM) in proud partnership with Kaizer Chiefs Football Club officially launched a brand-new annual cup competition – the Toyota Cup in Johannesburg on Monday.
A ground-breaking pre-season Cup competition set to be hosted and contested by the Glamour Boys, the Toyota Cup will see South Africa’s largest football brand, going head-to-head against some of the best Football Clubs on the continent during the off season for the next three years as an innovative extension to its current sponsorship agreement with Toyota South Africa.
The Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein will be the battle ground on Sunday ,28 July, kick-off is at 15h00pm.
Kaizer Chiefs legends will however tussle it out against the Bloemfontein Celtic legends in a curtain-raiser match to be played at 12:30pm.
The legends’ match, along with the main clash between Amakhosi and Yanga will also be in honour of the late Ntate Petrus Molemela – Life President of Bloemfontein Celtic and the football loving people of Mangaung.
Not only are fans guaranteed of live entertainment by renowned artists and two football matches on match day, but Toyota also confirmed an exciting prize give-away, which will see one lucky fan leave the Toyota stadium with a brand-new Toyota Corolla Cross XI CVT worth over R400 000.
