Kaizer Chiefs have announced the departure of coach Cavin Johnson in a statement released by the club on Monday.
Johnson, who joined the Naturena-based club in September of 2023 as Head of the Academy, took over as caretaker coach from Molefi Ntseki in October until the end of the season. Ntseki was relieved off his duties following a string of poor results.
Johnson’s take over however yielded no results as Amakhosi finished 10th in the DSTV Premiership League Log, which will see them miss out of the MTN8 action of the 2024/25 season.
According to the club, Johnson’s departure is part of the restructuring process that the Club is undertaking.
Meanwhile, goalkeeper coach Rainer Dinkelacker will not be returning in the new season.
The German international was recalled at the start of last season to assist in the goalkeeping department, has left as per their agreement.
Chiefs are set to announce the new technical staff in the coming weeks.
