Kaizer Chiefs start their 2023/2024 DSTV Premiership Campaign with a home fixture against Chippa United on Sunday, and newly appointed coach, Molefi Ntseki is aware of the pressure that comes with the job. Chiefs hosts the Chilli Boys at the Moses Mabhida Stadium, kick-off is at 3pm.
Speaking during a media day at the club’s headquarters in Naturena on Wednesday, coach Ntseki said he knew that there is pressure that comes with coaching Kaizer Chiefs, but, he added, was ready for the supporters’ expectations too.

Chiefs has not won any silverware in years, a situation that has not pleased the Amakhosi faithful, and Ntseki is adamant that he will deliver good results going into the new season.
“We all know there is always pressure at Chiefs. I came here knowing that there is pressure, but we must work and make sure that we turn things around for the team and our supporters. We have passionate supporters who have suffered for some time now and we have to change things by winning and having good results,” he said.

The former Bafana Bafana mentor added that the club needed a good start against Chippa United after a mixed bag of results in their pre-season preparations.
“We played five games in the pre-season, but people mainly saw the ones on TV and we learnt a lot from those games. Now on Sunday we have to start well against Chippa and look at the other 29 games in the season. But a good start will lift us up on the right path. We really need to do that and keep going,” Ntseki concluded.
