The Premier Soccer League is ready to deliver yet another successful season of great local football. The League and title sponsors DStv launched the 2023/2024 season in a thrilling event held at DStv Headquarters, Multichoice City in Randburg on Wednesday.
The launch saw coaches from all the 16 clubs in the Premiership gather and engage with top fans who were in attendance. The launch also served new faces in AmaZulu FC coach Pablo Martin, and former Kaizer Chiefs player Shaun Bartlett, who now coaches newly promoted Cape Town Spurs.
DStv celebrates their fourth year as the sponsors of the continent’s biggest football league, and in celebration, they announced and exciting new fan campaign for ahead of the eagerly anticipated 2023/24 DStv Premiership season.
DStv, in collaboration with the Premier Soccer League, announced an exhilarating AmaFanDayz campaign, where football meets entertainment, and the fans meet the DStv stars. The campaign focuses on rewarding DStv Premiership fans for supporting their teams and being loyal DStv customers.
“Fans remain the lifeblood of football. For our partnership with the PSL to remain impactful, we’re excited to be bringing fan innovation to the biggest league on the continent. We have seen how the game comes alive when stadiums are packed, or when fans banter about players or go to great lengths to show up for their favourite teams. Owing to this unwavering support, this season, through our exciting AmaFanDayz campaign, DStv will be rewarding fans for their loyal support in cash,” said Marc Jury, the Chief Executive Officer at Multichoice South Africa.
The season kick-offs on Friday, 4th August and will see defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns make the short trip up north to play Sekhukhune United at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium.
At play is still the sought after R15 million winners’ cheque prize and the glittering trophy at the end of May in 2024.
The clubs also have a chance to collect other trophies like the MTN8 and Nedbak Cup along the way.
