Kaizer Chiefs were beaten 1-0 by Tanzanian side Young Africans SC in a pre-season friendly match played at the 60 000 packed Benjamin Mkapa stadium in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, on Saturday evening.
The match which saw the return of all-time fan favourite goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune, is the first match for newly announced coach Molefi Ntseki, who takes over Arthur Zwane who was at the helm for just a season.
Zambian international Kennedy Musonda put Yanga ahead as he scored the game’s only goal one minute into first-half stoppage time.

A few new Chiefs signing got an opportunity to showcase their talent as some of Chiefs regulars were off due to injuries.
Amakhosi continue on to Botswana, where they will play another friendly match against Township Rollers at the National stadium in Gaborone next Saturday, 29 July.
They open their 2023/24 DStv Premiership campaign against Chippa United at the Moses Mabhida stadium in Durban on Sunday, 6 August.
