DSTV Premiership Mamelodi Sundowns have opened a 20-point lead at the top of the league log after thumping Royal AM 5-1 in a premiership match played at Loftus Versfeld on Tuesday evening.
They are now on 59 points, followed by SuperSport United, who have accumulated a total of 39 points so far after playing 22 matches, meanwhile Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs are tied on the 3rd and 4th place with 34 points respectively, also with 22 matches under their belts.
The Brazillians have also extended their unbeaten run to 17 matches.
Sundowns, who are now tasked with continuing their journey in the CAF Champions League, will now travel to Sudan to face off against Al Hilal Omduman. They come off a 5-2 glorious win over Al Ahly on Saturday, in a packed Loftus Stadium.
Meanwhile, Royal AM , will be looking at dusting themselves up on their next premiership match against Marumo Gallants on April 01.
