ABC Motsepe League side Dondol Stars have been given another opportunity to shine in the Nedbank Cup, after knocking off SuperSport United in the opening last 32 match of the tournament, and a follow-up win over AmaZulu FC in the last 16, they are now set to face off against Orlando Pirates.
The resilient team was pitted against the Buccaneers in the quarterfinals draw of the Ke Yona Cup on Monday in Johannesburg.
Dondol Stars’ latest opponent, has had interesting fixtures, having played All Stars FC in the opening round, and Venda Football Academy in the last 16. An extra time goal from Thembinkosi Lorch saw Pirates through to the quarterfinal in a match played at the Orlando Stadium on Saturday.
Meanwhile Kaizer Chiefs have been drawn against the cunning Royal AM, a side that has proven troublesome for Amakhosi since its inception in the DSTV Premiership. Chippa United will face off against Sekhukhune United, while defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns will entertain Stellenboch FC.
The PSL will announce the dates and venues of the fixtures in due course,
