Notorious for the humiliation of the so called “big teams” of the DSTV Premiership being knocked out of the tournament in its early stages, the Nedbank Cup did not disappoint in the first matches of the last 32 round of the season., this after PSL side SuperSport United were knocked out by relatively unknown Dondol Stars.

SuperSport United became the first major casualties of the Nedbank Cup after losing 2-1 to lowly Dondol Stars in the round of 32 at the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium on Wednesday night.
This is Dondol Stars’ first appearance in the Nedbank Cup, and with a win over Matsatsantsa, all eyes will be on them to see where they end up when the tournament completes in May.

Meanwhile, the opening matches of the tournament saw defending champions, Mamelodi Sundowns proceed to the last 16 round after Peter Shalulile scored a brace of well-taken goals as Cup with a 3-2 win over Richards Bay at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Tuesday evening.
Marumo Gallants secured a 3-1 win over Magesi FC in the Nedbank Cup Last 32 match at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium on Tuesday night.
