Following a disappointing loss to AmaZulu in their last DSTV Premiership match, Kaizer Chiefs will be looking at turning the corner and getting maximum points at home when they host log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday evening.

Chiefs welcome Sundowns to the FNB Stadium with a bid to close the points gap; Amakhosi are currently 5th on the log with 24 points, while Sundowns have collected a cool 43 points.

Meanwhile Sundowns, who were in action on Monday evening against SuperSport United, will want to fortify their position at the summit of the log with another win.

Speaking ahead of the much await clash, Head Coach Rulani Mokwena shared the team’s expectations for the upcoming fixture. “Chiefs has great players, and their performances may be much better than their results suggest. If you only look at the score lines you get a wrong impression about them. They are very organised and very clear in their patterns of play; the team has well-drilled schemes and have a good Coach (Arthur Zwane) surrounded by a great technical team.”

Kick-off is at 8pm.
