Swallows FC have announced Ernst Middendorp as their new head coach, he comes on a three-year deal. The Dube Birds have been without a coach since they let go of Dylan Kerr back in September. They have been relying on the services of former player Musa Nyatama as caretaker coach.
Middendorp has been without a job after parting ways with Maritzburg United at the end of last season.
Swallows are currently third from the bottom of the DSTV Premiership League Log with twelve matches under their belt, Middendorp will have his work cut out for him in trying to move Maswaiswai off the relegation zone
Speaking through a statement released on Thursday, Swallows said, “Coach Middendorp comes with a wealth of experience, and we believe he will be the right person to guide the club in the right direction.”
“We thank coach Musa and the technical team who steered the ship on an interim basis while the search was on for a head coach.”
