The dominance that Mamelodi Sundowns have had over Orlando Pirates in recent season will be put to test on Saturday when they two teams clash in the MTN8 semi-finals. Pirates will host Sundowns in the first leg of the tournament, kick-off at the Orlando Stadium is at 3:30pm.
One player who is hoping for a change is Pirates midfielder Fortune Makaringe, who is looking at taking Pirates back to its glory days, especially against the Tshwane outfit.

Speaking ahead of the much awaited thriller, Makaringe said that while they will not pay much attention to past results, they will be looking at getting a favourable result.
“You can say that they have been dominating us in the past season or two but before that I played against them while at Pirates and we were dominating them. It has just been like exchanging positions, but that doesn’t really matter in this game. If I look at Pirates I feel that we have the best players and when we talk we don’t talk about other teams but us.
“We can go out there and win this game. We just have to play to our strength and make sure that we don’t give them space and time to attack us. If we can defend well as a team and then attack and create chances to score then we can win the game on Saturday. We have a good team that can grind the results and qualify for the finals, ” the former Maritzburg United midfielder said.
