Mamelodi Sundowns Striker Peter Shalulile has picked up where he left off last season in the goal scoring department, and while he may want to enjoy similar accolades as last year’s, he opts to put the club’s success first before personal success.

Sundowns play against Orlando Pirates on Saturday in the first leg of the MTN8 tournament and Shalulile and co. will be looking at getting some away goals behind the net. Kick-off for this match is at 15:30.

Speaking on Thursday, the Namibian international said that the team comes first before personal glory.

“The team comes first then the personal glory can follow. About last season I thank God because it was with His Grace that I achieved what I achieved. Now I will just continue working hard and make sure that I can contribute to the success of the team. It’s first about the team than personal glory, ” he said.

Meanwhile Shalulile also took a moment to wish former teammate Kermit Erasmus all the best as he has moved to rivals Orlando Pirates.

” As for Kermit I wish him all the best. His was my teammate and he is a top striker and a good person. But you know that’s life and what I can say is that I just wish him all the best. That’s all I can say,” Shalulile added.

Tickets for the match are available at Ticketpro from R80.
