Sekhukhune United FC number one goalkeeper Toaster Nsabata has said they though his team has signed Ivory Coast first choice goalkeeper Bangary Sangare he was not worried of competition.

Speaking during the launch of the 2022 Carling Black Label Cup at the FNB Stadium on Tuesday, the Zambian International  said that was ready to defend his position. Nsabata said that as long as he was fit and training well, removing him from his number one position will not be a walk in the park.

“I am here to keep my position, I am the Bread Toasting Machine and I will work hard to keep my position. I know he (Sangare) is number one for Ivory Coast but I am also number one for my county Zambia and I am not worried of competition. As long as I am fit it will be hard to remove me from standing between those posts. Maybe when I have a knock like now but then when I come back I will fight for my position. I have worked hard and I won’t just let it go like that, ” the Zambian said.

Toaster also took a moment to appreciate the help that his countryman and Mamelodi Sundowns goalie Kennedy Mweene, has afforded him during his stay in South Africa so far.

” Yes as a big brother and as both from the Southern Province, he has really helped me with his advices. Like he told me that I have come here to play football and I should forget about girls. You see that helped me as last season I was nominated for the goalkeeper of the season and I want to do the same this season. Kennedy is always advising me on my football but as well as life in general and that is keeping me on my toes, “Nsabata concluded.
