They may be the defending champions and possibly one of the most successful clubs in the Premier Soccer League, but Mamelodi Sundowns do not make a mistake of undermining their opponents; and this will be the case when they face off with Sekhukhune United on Saturday.

The Brazilians travel to the Peter Mokaba Stadium to square off with Sekhukhune, kick off is at 15:00pm

Sundowns Co-coach Manqoba Mngqithi has said that their opponents can not be taken for granted.

“They are people we can not take for granted. They are a good side but unfortunately they haven’t started very well. In their last game against Richards Bay they played very well though results were not on their side. They have one of the the most dangerous striking force in the league with strikers like Victor Letsoalo and Tshegofatso Mabasa,” he said.

Mnqgithi added that Sekhukhune were strong in set pieces and their crossing game.

“Mokhale on the left and Mosia on the right. They are very quick and very good in delivery. Their central midfield of Mtambo and Motsepe is very solid and makes it very difficult for everyone and the back four of Gyimah, Cardoso and Nyiko Mobbie makes it a very very powerful team deal with,” Mngqithi added.

The coach also took a moment to thank the “Yellow Nation” for the support they are giving the team saying that in their first game of the season against Cape Town City in Cape Town it felt like they were playing at home due to the large number of Sundowns supports present in the stadium.

He said that against Kaizer Chiefs at home he saw the rise of the Yellow nation which one would like to keep for the longest time.
