TS Galaxy FC Chairman Tim Sukazi has urged the Premier Soccer League and its clubs to at least hire coaches who have Pro Coaching Licences. Sukazi said this on Wednesday during a media briefing at the team’s training ground in Sandton, Johannesburg.
He said that just like TS Galaxy whose coach Sead Ramovic, holds a UEFA Pro Coaching Licence, other teams should follow should suit and hire highly qualified coaches.
“I think UEFA Pro Coaching Licence is the highest as far as coaching is concerned. Coaches like Pep hold such a Licence and you can see the work they do. I implore that the PSL make that as one of the requirements for someone to coach in our top flight. That would really help improve our game,” said Sukazi.
He added, “I think you have seen what coach Ramovic has done with the team since he joined us in October or there about last year. We have done well and in the last quarter of games for last season we were second to Mamelodi Sundowns who won the quarter. We were two points short of them, we did very well. Yeah it can the CAF Pro or UEFA Pro but it should be the highest coaching qualification.”

On the good start to the season Sukazi said it was a continuation of last season where they finished on a high note.
” If you look at how we finished last season you can see that it’s the continuation and consistency from last season. We finished very well and I think the AFCON break in January also helped us a lot for the coach to work with the players and develop that understanding which has continued and you can see the results for yourself.
However we will continue fighting and won’t be complacent. We want to win as many games as we can and collect as many points as we can, ” Sukazi concluded.
