Kaizer Chiefs were handed a shocking 4-0 loss on Saturday by Mamelodi Sundowns at a packed Loftus Versfeld Stadium, a second loss on the road for Amakhosi, after they lost their opening match for the current DSTV Premiership 2022/2023 season.
Amakhosi were beaten by Royal AM FC in KwaZulu-Natal, they were however to dust themselves off and redeemed themselves with a 3-0 win over Maritzburg United in their first home game at the FNB Stadium last Tuesday.
Amakhosi are now preparing to hit the road back to KZN, where they are scheduled to play DStv Premiership newcomers Richards Bay on Saturday in Durban.
The Glamour boys were back in training on Monday to prepare for a first Premiership meeting with the ‘Rich Boys’ who were promoted to the elite league after winning the First Division last season.

“We had a good session with the guys this morning,” Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane told the club’s website, www.kaizerchiefs.com.
“We reflected and took some lessons from Saturday’s game. Our focus and energy is now fully on the upcoming game as we need to collect points. We know it won’t be easy but we will prepare adequately for Richards Bay,” Zwane added.

This is a Chiefs home match, but the club’s management have opted to stage it at the Moses Mabhida Stadium to accommodate their KZN fanbase. Tickets for the 20h00 kick-off match are sold at R60 each at Computicket outlets countrywide, including Shoprite and Checkers.
