Following their embarrassing 1-0 loss to Royal AM last weekend in KwaZulu- Natal, Soweto side Kaizer Chiefs have redeemed themselves winning their second match of the DSTV Premiership 2022/23 season, Chiefs hosted Maritzburg United on Tuesday night at the FNB Stadium, putting three goals past united keeper King Ndlovu.

The Glamour Boys got off to a bright start, creating a couple of goal scoring opportunities in the first five minutes of the game. In breaking the deadlock, Ashley du Preez opened his account for the club after capping off a swift passing move.

Arthur Zwane’s side took charge of the game around the 15 minute mark, as they passed the ball around with accuracy and assurance. At the same time, Chiefs were comfortable in surrendering the ball and organised themselves out of possession.

Meanwhile, all roads lead to the Loftus Versveld Stadium on Saturday, where Chiefs will look at continuing their winning ways when they face off with rivals and defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns.

Sundowns won their first league game against Cape Town City FC, and they will be looking at keeping the wins coming when they face off with Amakhosi. Sundowns however still have to play hosts to TS Galaxy on Wednesday, kick-off is 19:30pm, before the big Chiefs clash. Kick-off for Saturday is 15:00pm.
