Wednesday 27th April was Freedom Day but Kaizer Chiefs did not enjoy the day as they lost their DStv Premiership encounter against Golden Arrows by a 2-1 margin.
Arrows’ Co-coach Vusimuzi Kanu Vilakaza said that he was not surprised with the win as they planned for this game the whole week. He said that after Amakhosi took an early lead they did not want just to equalise and draw the game but wanted to go all out and win.
“We had to talk about it at half time on how to come back score the equaliser and make sure that we go all out and find the winner. They were pressing us up high so we had to find ways to open them up and find that winning goal which eventually came. The players did very well for themselves and for the team as well. We worked hard and we are happy we got maximum points. We deserved the win on the day, ” Vilakazi said.
Vilakazi added that now their focus is on their next game against Baroka FC.
” Now we have to shift the focus and concentrate on the next game which is against Baroka. We know it won’t be an easy one but we have to be ready for that game and we are working on that,” Vilakazi concluded.
