Gloves are set to come off when Maritzburg United face off against Swallows FC in the bottom of the clash game on Tuesday evening. United, who are rooted 12th on the DSTV Premiership League Log will host equally troubled Swallows FC at the Harry Gwala Stadium in KZM.
United defender Clayton Daniels says their clash would be a “six pointer”. The former Mamelodi Sundowns defender says that the relegation zone status they both hold, would make this game difficult. Daniels believes that Swallows won’t change much in their playing system except maybe for the defense where they can use a back three.
“Our preparations have been going on very well. We had a one day rest after our last game and now we are ready for Swallows. We know this won’t be an easy game because they are also in the relegation zone but we are going to give it our all.
“We will have our supporters and fans for the first time in the stands and we have to do it for them as well by winning this game and making them proud. But as I have said it won’t be easy and it’s a six pointer. But we are going out there for the three points because we need those three points at this point, “Daniels says.
