Mamelodi Sundowns were drawn against Royal in the semifinals of the Nedbank Cup. The four remaining clubs were pitted against each other in a draw conducted at the Chatsworth Stadium on Sunday after Royal edged University of Pretoria in a five-goal thriller.
Sundowns had defeated third-tier Summerfield Dynamos 5-0 at a wet Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Saturday evening. Defending champions Marumo Gallants will be away at Limpopo rivals Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila in the other semifinals match.
TTM had to overcome SuperSport United in their quarterfinals match played on Friday evening at the Thohoyandou Stadium, they beat Matsatsantsa 3-2. Meanwhile, Marumo Gallants secured a 1-0 win over their Limpopo rivals, Baroka FC in the Nedbank Cup quarterfinal match at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
