On Saturday afternoon Mamelodi Sundowns beat Sudanese side Al Merrikh 3-0 with goals from George Maluleke, Bradley Rulani and Kermit Erasmus in a game played at the FNB Stadium to top the CAF Champions League group without a defeat.
After the game coach Manqoba Mngqithi said that they were happy to have the fans back at the Stadium.
This comes after President Cryil Ramaphosa announced that sports stadiums can now accommodate half the capacity as long as the follow all the needed precautions of Covid-19.
Mngqithi said that its always good to have supporters at the stadium as they bring the vibe.
“Supporters are an important part of the game. It is good that we have the supporters back in the stadium now. We have to give back to the supporters for showing their love of the game,” Mngqithi concluded.
