Sekhukhune United on Wednesday afternoon suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Marumo Gallants FC in the DSTV Premiership and this left coach MacDonald Makhubedu fuming, saying that though Gallants gave them the game, they still couldn’t win.

“Our players were casual and I talked about this in training on Monday but nothing changed. Maybe we needed this wake up call, I am not sure. But they gave us the game and we couldn’t win. This is not good,” he said.
The coach added that they controlled the game both aerial and on the ground and Gallants only had one chance in the second half but still won the game as two central defenders were caught ball watching and the opposition capitalised on that to score the only goal of the game.
” Though the performance was good I was disappointed with the result because we failed to penetrate in the last third as we could not find the back of the net despite playing good football,” he said.
Makhubedu said that have to go back to the drawing board and work on these weaknesses before their next game against Kaizer Chiefs on Sunday.
