TS Galaxy and Bafana Bafana midfielder Ethan Brooks has said that the belief the coach had in him before the Bafana Bafana World Cup qualifier game against Ghana helped him settle well and play well in the game. Bafana beat Ghana 1-0 at the FNB Stadium on Monday.

” I know that Ghana is one of the best teams in Africa, it was amazing to play against them and actually to start the game and finish it,” Brooks said. He added that Ghana is actually his mother’s favourite national side.

Brooks also said that hard work and determination both at club and national level is what helped him maintain his good form.

” As a player you should always make sure you work hard, and that you are on top of your game. It’s important to be consistent in your work as a player,” he said.

He then said that as the national team they want to continue doing well in the qualifiers for the World Cup and maintain their position on the top of the group.

“We need to collect six points from our two back-to-back games against Ethiopia. That would help us maintain the top position in our group which will give us more chances of qualifying for the World Cup next year,” he said.

On TS Galaxy DStv Premiership encounter against Golden Arrows this weekend the 19-year-old said that it’s time they started winning games.

TS Glaxy has lost one match and drew the other. He also had some encouraging words for the team’s MDC side to work hard together as a team as they prepare the start of the Multichoice Diski season this weekend.
