Golden Arrows continued from where they left off last season when they opened the 2021/22 DStv Premiership season with a win over Maritzburg United in a KZN derby on Saturday afternoon. Coach Lehlohonolo Seema said that there was a lot of aggression from both sides which is a pure sign of a derby.
“The credit should go to the players for showing up and showing character in the game. Since this is just our second game of the season there is still a lot of work to be done as we look at our progress and monitor other situations in the team. But so far looking at the first game against SuperSport in the MTN8 and this one we are on the right track, ” Seema said.
Golden Arrows became the first team to book their spot in the MTN8 semifinals after they defeated SuperSport United 4-3 on penalties (2-2 after extra time) and coach Seema is eying at least five games to know how the team will shape u for the new season.
