Just a day after announcing Darren Keet as their goalkeeper, Cape Town City FC have added another shot stopper to their books in former Maritzburg United goalminder Bongani Mphandle.
The 28-year-old Mphandle said that he was looking forward to joining the Mother City based club and that he knows that they can achieve more if they work together as a team.
“I am happy that I will learn a lot from Keet who has represented the national team before and that his experience is vital to the team,” he said.
On the coach Eric Tinkler who they worked together as Maritzburg United, Mphandle said that he knows what kind of football Tinkler likes and that if you work hard he gives you the chance to play.
” He is a good guy to work with. If you work hard he will give you the chance to play and that’s what I want to do here at City,” Mphandle concluded.
