Goalkeeper Darren Keet has said that he is excited to join Cape Town City FC. Keet, who was born in the Mother City, will finally have an opportunity to play some football in the Mother City as he has always played outside.
“I am also excited that I will be reuniting with coach Eric Tinkler who I worked with at Bidvest Wits and we did very well together. I know what kind of a coach he is and I know that working with him at City will make us achieve more together as a team. It’s also good that I will be working with some players who have played for Bafana Bafana before; this will help us fight for trophies together, ” Keet said.
Keet said he knows that City are a club that wants to win trophies and he was ready to be part of the team which will be fighting for those trophies and that everyone at the team was looking forward to that.
“I know City are an ambitious team and I know every season they want to win things and that’s one thing that encouraged me to join the club. I am happy that I am finally back home and play for a team in Cape Town,” the former Bafana Bafana keeper said.
